Who is ctxdrop for? People whose AI is running somewhere else. A remote Claude Code session, openclaw on a box at home, an agent in a container or a cloud VM — anywhere there is no shared filesystem between you and the model. If you have ever tried to describe a PDF to an agent that cannot open it, this is for you.
What happens when I upload a file? Your browser sends the file directly to our storage on the edge, and you get back a short link. Paste that link to your agent and it fetches the file from there. Nothing is converted, renamed, or read on the way through. One hour later the file is deleted and the link stops working.
Is it private? There is no account, no email, and no tracking. But anyone holding the link can read the file for as long as it lives, so treat links as secrets — and don't upload anything you wouldn't paste into a chat.
How is ctxdrop financed? It's a solo project, and it costs very little to run — files delete themselves after an hour, so the storage bill never grows. No ads, no accounts, nothing to upsell. If it saved you some hassle, you can buy me a coffee .
Who else touches my file? Two subprocessors. Vercel runs the site and never sees file contents; bunny.net holds the file itself until it expires.
